Losing the Pineapple

This was our living room end table.

We bought it off CL about 2 or 3 years ago with the intention of replacing the pineapple and fixing this

Well we never got to it, and our style evolved. So I decided to paint it and put it in Birdie's room.

This detail resembles some of my favorite details about her crib.

I broke out the good ol' Heirloom White for this one. I should have done at least 2 or 3 coats of primer even after sanding it down with my Ryobi electric sander. I only did one coat, which resulted in 3 coats of Heirloom White. Not fun.

Not too bad, eh? I am very happy with it now that it's in Birdie's room.
Love that detail!

One more time for good measure.

You're probably wondering where that crazy pineapple went. I hated that thing. So we're going to pick up a knob at Ikea this weekend to match Birdie's Hemnes dresser.

One more project crossed off my list!
